Exam types

HPE0/HP0 – Proctored exams

HPE0/HP0 proctored exams are administered at Pearson VUE testing centers. HPE0/HP0 exam registrations, payments, scheduling and cancellations can all be managed by clicking Sign In. An HPE Learner ID is required to register for an exam.

Proctored exams (HPE6-xxx)

HPE6 exams are specific to Aruba exams and are administered at Pearson VUE testing centers. HPE6 exam registrations, payments, scheduling and cancellations can all be managed by clicking Sign In. An HPE Learner ID is required to register for an exam.

Online proctored exams (for HPE0-xxx and HPE6-xxx)

Online proctored exam delivery allows you to take a proctored exam in the comfort of your home or office, while you are monitored by an offsite proctor. The OP exam delivery system has very specific technical, system, environment, and testing protocol requirements, which you must review and accept before you can register. OP delivery is available worldwide, except in these countries: China, Japan, Iraq, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
Greeter support, proctor support, and proctor software are currently available in English only. Performance exams are not eligible for OP delivery. HPE may expand this mode of exam delivery to additional countries or languages in the future. Exam fees for the online proctoring option vary by country and are subject to change. Special promotional pricing rates are in effect from September 2016 to December 2016.

Performance based exams (HPE0-xxxP or HP0-xxxP)

Performance based exams are used primarily for HPE Software and Aruba certifications. Candidates interact with the hardware or software during the test. These performance exams are administered in a proctored environment at select testing locations.

HPE2/HP2 and HPE3/HP3 – Web-based exams

HPE2/HP2 and HPE3/HP3 are online, web-based exams. They offer the convenience of 24-hour access for exam administration. Keep in mind that these exams are timed, just as they would be in a test center, and MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF PURCHASE.

HPE2/HP2 and HPE3/HP3 web-based exams can be purchased only via the Sign In link. Web-based exam registrations, payments and cancellations are all managed by clicking Sign In. An HPE Learner ID is required to register for an exam.
